We understand that many of our community members may be adversely affected by the current government shutdown, and VCCFCU wants to make this difficult time easier by offering federal government workers a special three month, interest-free loan of up to $3,000 to help you and your family weather this shutdown with as little impact as possible to your financial well-being.
After the 3-month interest free period, regular personal loan annual percentage rates will apply on the remaining balance of the loan. Borrowers can choose between 12 to 60 months for repayment.
If you are interested in accessing this special member benefit, please stop by the credit union and complete a loan application. (Must bring government issued picture ID, proof of address, two most recent paystubs, social security card and $25 to open an account if you are not a current member.)
If you’re affected by the pay disruption and need access to your certificate accounts, we will waive early withdrawal penalties. To do this, please stop by our branch with your government workers identification.
