Important News, 11/22/2023: DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO FINANCIAL FRAUD OR ACCOUNT TAKEOVERS! Criminals target millions of Americans each year with many different types of financial fraud or confidence schemes, such as romance, lottery, investment, or sweepstakes scams. Criminals may impersonate family members, government agencies, tech support professionals, and others to steal your money and information.

  • DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR CONFIDENTIAL FINANCIAL OR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE YOU HAVE NOT CONTACTED YOURSELF! 
  • DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS OR CALL TELEPHONE NUMBERS WITHIN EMAILS THAT ARE QUESTIONABLE. The embedded links could allow a hacker to access your personal computer. Do not call the telephone numbers provided in the questionable emails as they may connect you to a fraudulent call center.
  • If you receive a call from a service company claiming you owe money for any service you did not authorize and they are persistent that you pay, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY!  
  • If you have given your confidential information to anyone and feel uneasy, CONTACT YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION IMMEDIATLY!
  • If you have fallen victim to fraud, CHANGE ALL EMAIL AND BANKING PASSWORDS AND CONTACT YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION IMMEDIATELY!

If you believe you have fallen victim to cyber crime, file a complaint or report. Your information is invaluable to helping the FBI and its partners bring cybercriminals to justice. The Internet Crime Complaint Center, or IC3, is the Nation’s central hub for reporting cyber crime. It is run by the FBI, the lead federal agency for investigating cyber crime. You can file a complaint by going to www.ic3.gov.

 

Important News, 10/2/2023: VISA CREDIT CARD UPGRADE FOR CARDHOLDER ACCOUNTS BEGINNING WITH 4115 4400 **** ****.  VCCFCU is excited to announce improvements to our credit card program, including enhanced security with the new EMV chip, tap to pay functionality, online access to view our account, a new credit card design, electronic statement availability, 24/7 cardholder service and a new rewards program.

New Visa credit cards will be mailed to all cardholders, regardless if they are primary or secondary on 10/30/2023. Your credit card number and your expiration date will change. For security reasons, each secondary cardholder will have a new individual card number, CVV number and expiration date.

On 11/13/2023, the old Visa credit card & Scorecard rewards become in active. Members must activate their new cards so their remaining Scorecard reward points are transferred over to the new UChoose rewards program. All points transferred will be shown on the UChoose rewards account by 12/13/2023.

Important News, 5/4/2023: VCCFCU online banking may be experiencing an intermittent service interruption. As a result, users periodically may be unable to login to online banking. Please note, Online banking is accessible through the VCCFCU Mobile application. Support teams are working to restore service as quickly as possible.

Important news, 2/09/2023: SPEED UP YOUR INCOME TAX REFUND WITH DIRECT DEPOSIT! Direct Deposit of your income tax refund is fast, safe, and convenient. To help you fill out your form correctly, enter our routing number, 226074111, exactly as shown on Form 1040 then mark whether the refund is going to a savings or checking account and write your seven or eight digit account number.

Important news, 2/06/2023: The January 2023 statements are now available on Virtual Branch for members who are enrolled in E-statements.

CRITICAL IMPORTANT NOTICE!, 7/7/2022: Due to a mainframe migration there will be an extended maintenance between 2 A.M and 2 P.M. ET on Sunday, July 10, 2022. During this time, ATM/Debit card processing, Zelle, Home and Mobile banking services will be affected. The Credit Union strongly recommends members perform their necessary financial transactions and cash withdrawals no later than Saturday, July 9, 2022 in order to avoid inconvenient service interruption.

Important news, 2/02/2022: Dear Members, all TAX FORMS are mailed from our data center in Texas.  If you need to know your interest income for tax reporting, you can use the year-end figures located on the last page of your December account statement.

Important news, 1/01/2022: Due to the recent Covid variant outbreak and out of an abundance of caution, the credit union is suspending all in-person backoffice and notary services as of January 3, 2022; however, the teller area remains open.

Our goal is to reduce the risk that anyone at VCCFCU might contract or inadvertently spread the virus. It is important that we take these proactive steps to protect ourselves and others and minimize the spread of Covid-19.  Due to limited staffing, we encourage our members to utilize our free digital services (Online and mobile banking, Bill Pay, Zelle) and the ATM in the vestibule area for deposits and withdrawals instead of entering our branch.

Important news, 12/08/2021: Our VCCFCU Mobile App has been updated! Android users who experienced technical difficulties after their most recent phone IOs update will need to uninstall and reinstall the VCCFCU Mobile app to make sure they are on the most up-to-date version 12.2.

Important news, 10/12/2021: While upgrading our e-statement format, our data processor sent the majority of E-statement users, a paper statement as well.  Though this does not affect e-statement enrollment, we ask on the side of caution that all e-statements users verify whether they can retrieve and download their electronic statements.

Important news, 8/6/2021:  On Friday, August 6th we received notification from our data processors that there was a system error on accounts with balances greater than $3,000 and they were erroneously charged the monthly service.  The error has been corrected and members will see the fee reversal on their August statement with an effective date of 7/31/2021. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Important news, 6/21/2021:  The Board added an additional waiver to the monthly service fee. As of July 1, 2021, the $5 monthly service fee will be waived for the following accounts:

  • Youth under the age of 18
  • Accounts with a monthly direct deposit of $300 or more.
  • Accounts with a combined minimum balance of $3000 or more between share savings and checking.
  • Estate Accounts.
  • Burial Accounts.
  • Revocable & Irrevocable Trust Accounts.

Important news, 6/17/2021:  Preparations are being made to test our online banking disaster recovery environment. On Saturday, June 26, 2021 & Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 12:01 A.M. Eastern time, our online banking platform may be unavailable for approximately one hour during a switchover between our John Creek Data Center and our Phoenix Disaster Recovery environment and vice versus the next evening.  On each date when the switchover is complete, they will continue to monitor system performance to verify Virtual Branch is functioning as usual.  Members may experience unavailability during the one-hour switchover.

Important news, 6/07/2021:  As a result of the recently updated U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, VCCFCU will no longer require fully vaccinated employees or members to wear face coverings, unless required by a state or local order or ordinance, beginning June 7th.  In accordance with CDC guidelines, individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to use face coverings over their noses and mouths while inside VCCFCU premises.

Important news, 5/24/2021: Credit Sense is available to you through online and mobile banking. Credit Sense is a free service offered to help you understand your current credit score, give access to your full credit report, provide credit monitoring alerts, show you how you can improve it, and see ways you can save money on new and existing loans with us.  What is Credit Sense? Credit Sense is a comprehensive Credit Score program offered by the credit union,  that helps you stay on top of your credit. With this program, you always know where you stand with your credit and how your financial institution bank can help save you money.

Important news, 5/10/2021: ATTENTION BILL PAY USERS! Users whom have not scheduled any bill payments within two months of the conversion date 4/1/2021 will be deactivated from the new Bill Payment system; this deactivation will delete all merchants and past payment histories though all users will still have access to online banking.  To avoid this from happening we advise scheduling your bill payments no later than May 27, 2021.

Important news, 4/22/2021:  Unlike before when members’ accounts were debited on the date they scheduled their bill pay.  The new payment system will only debit the account on the date the check or electronic deposit is presented/accepted by the merchant. Members must make sure they have sufficient funds in their accounts to cover the bill pay transaction(s) or else payment(s) will be rejected and generate insufficient funds fee(s).

Important news, 4/09/2021:   Mobile Deposit members should only use the new Van Cortlandt Coop FCU Mobile app for their check deposits. Deposits made through the old app will not be valid and may cause delays in receiving proper credit. Download the new app for Android and Apple devices using the following links:

Important news, 3/26/2021: Though online banking will be available throughout the upgrade, BILL PAYMENT WILL BE UNAVAILABLE STARTING 2 PM ON TUESDAY, MARCH 30th UNTIL WE GO LIVE WITH THE NEW SYSTEM 9 AM ON THURSDAY, APRIL 1, 2021. Scheduled payments will be processed as usual during this time.  We ask members to schedule their payments no later than Monday, March 29th to ensure timely payments. Click to learn more about VCCFCU’s online banking conversion.

Important news, 3/15/2021: Americans who qualify are eagerly awaiting the latest round of stimulus payments approved by the Federal Government.  Please note, however, that we do not have information about when individual members will receive their Stimulus Payment, so you may see a payment pending in your account prior to receipt of the payment. Funds will be released based on the effective date determined by the US Treasury Department, which may be March 17th or later.

If the IRS attempts to send your payment electronically to a closed account or account with incorrect info, the payment will not process and they will then likely issue you a paper check/prepaid debit card at a later date. For more details, we encourage you to visit the IRS website for the latest updates and information on stimulus payments.

Important news, 3/08/2021:  The new online banking platform and mobile app are scheduled to go live on 4/1/2021. Members will have the ability to enroll for these services through their own devices if they have not done so already. Current online banking users will use their current credentials to sign into the new platforms.
